Learn More About the IPM

Training with the IPM has massively enhanced my day to day work as a pelvic health physiotherapist. It is a very different way of learning from training I had done before and initially felt incredibly challenging. However, even from the start, every seminar group session I attended offered brilliant peer support, different perspectives on the work and developed my practice. Now for both my psychosexual patients and my wider patient group I am more alert to the elements that aren’t being talked about and have the confidence to give patients time and space to explore these.

- Carolyn Lindsay, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

As a Clinical Scientist I have found both the Introduction Course and Diploma Seminars invaluable in supporting patient care. The IPM’s approach has supported my understanding of psychosexual medicine and has helped countless patients in my everyday practice!

- Stuart Long, Clinical Scientist in Andrology

The skills I have gained through IPM training help me on a daily basis in consultations with every type of patient.

- Practitioner

I was surprised how quickly it has changed the way I approach consultations!

- Introductory Training Course Attendee

Doing the IPM training has been one of the best decisions I have made in my career. The seminars provided an opportunity to become immersed in a patient's story and through it learn about human sexual experience, as well as to explore one's own feelings and approach to these consultations. During the seminars, I really enjoyed getting to know other clinicians from other walks of medical life, and sharing cases and thoughts with them. Overall, I feel that the IPM training has made me a better, more reflective, more holistic doctor. The patients that I see through my psychosexual work are diverse, fascinating and unique. It is hugely rewarding to be an psychosexual practitioner.
