The IPM Annual Scientific Meeting 2023

"An Exploration of Capacity and Consent"

We are really excited to invite you to "An Exploration of Capacity and Consent”, our Annual Scientific Meeting, on 17th and 18th March 2023.  It will take place at The Jubilee Conference Centre, Nottingham. This is very close to the city centre yet set within 65 acres of beautiful grounds with a lakeside setting, and built with a sustainable eco-friendly ethos.

We hope to welcome a wide range of delegates to consider and reflect upon the sexual facets of

Capacity, as ability, measure, burden, scope, retention.

and Consent, as permission, approval, compliance, assent, sanction

Our speakers will support our examination of the theme in many ways, including the effects of non consensual sex, sexual considerations for those with learning difficulties, and for those who are Neurodiverse.  We will look at the complexities of consent in respect of therapy itself, and consent to genital examination.

As always, we will have several opportunities throughout the meeting for experiential learning in smaller seminar groups through case discussion.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share ideas and experience which will enhance your practice.

The meeting is open to all those with an interest in psychosexual therapy, whether at the beginning of your journey within this specialty, or with many years of experience.

CPD points: 4.75 hours Friday, 5 hours Saturday.

We look forward to seeing you there!
